I went for a walk at the Desert Botanical Garden early Friday morning. I hadn't been for quite a while because it's been too hot but, it was tolerable on Friday so I took advantage. I didn't expect to see baby quail out and about. I thought it was a bit past the breeding season but I guess I was wrong. This little family was out foraging for food.

I hope you explained to the parents that the breeding season is over. :)
It is the portrait of a typical family.
Tomás.
Did you here about my turkey adventure this morning? Quite a treat to see.
That is so cute!
Yes, I have been riding my bike on that path every morning.
We have lots of baby quail in our neighborhood. We still have two quail nests with eggs in our cactus pots. The quail are still sitting on the nests, but I fear the eggs are no longer alive.
Nice shot! My friend down that way gets them regularly strolling through her back yard.
That's wonderful to see, Sharon!
I am impressed that you have the breeding season of the quail figured out.
I love watching Quails.
Looks like a nice 'day out'!
So cute! Great spotting.
