Two last shots from the Goldfield Ghost Town. In the one above you get a glimpse of the Superstition Mountains in the background with that steam engine in the foreground. I notice that old engine has some brand new tires on it.
Below is a photo of the town's water tank captured between the branches of a palo verde tree.

Wonderful. Love the composition in the second one!

The first photo looks surreal to me, great stuff.
Love the names of towns and natural objects in the Southwest. Superstition Mts. has a special feel to it!
I'd love to visit those streets and the intrigue of a ghost town.
I love seeing the Superstition Mountain peeking out from behind the scene. It just makes this picture special.
The sun would be brutal on the tires. Also on all that natural wood. I hope they use a good wood preservative.
Fantastic couple of shots, you're right about the new tyres though. Don't look quite right!
The 1st shot is fascinating, really an interesting place.
Returning to tell you that I left a looooong reply to you on my Paul Bunyan blog about the Mn State Fair. Yup, it's the largest in the country by attendance. And the Art Building is the BEST!
That first one almost doesnt look real. A testament to the photographer !!
The second shot: very nice composition! You had a great day for photos. Super colors. Now that I've seen more I'm sure there was more here when we used to head up to the Superstitions. But all I can really remember was the old codger, the wagon and a donkey.
Brilliant, love the building against the natural backdrop.
Nice post, great blog, following :)
Good Luck :)
Your top image could be found in Arizona Highways!
Great view of the Superstition mountains.
As I told you before, I love this setting! Great shots again.
Agree with all above Sharon, quintessential Arizona!
