Downtown mural
I found this mural on the back of a downtown nightclub called The Crescent Ballroom. I'm not sure I understand the message but to me it looks like it might extolling the virtue of not drinking. Seems an odd message for a nightclub but, who knows.
If Tucson muralist Joe Pagac is the one I found on Google, he is a fascinating guy. I think I'll ask the Tucson Daily Photo blogger if she knows of him. Check it out, Sharon, and I'd definitely look for more murals by him. Looks like he's becoming very well-known.
Don't drink & ride? Very interesting. The skeleton figures are very much the same as Karl posted recently on his Bolzano Daily Photo blog (Bolzano, Italy) and they have some special meaning there. It certainly is a strange mural for Prescott, me thinks.
Hi Sharon. I just checked Bolzano and Karl's also got a horse and the death guy. I'm sorry about my previous comment, but you know all about these 'cause I know you comment on that blog!
I'm not sure what it means either but it is a well done mural. I guess if you ride drunk you might fall off and hit your head but if you could manage to stay on, the good horse would get you home.

Nowadays it would be "driving and drinking don't mix"
Such a great find.
Fantastic! The brickwork gives it a jigsaw like effect!
Very unusual! Looks to be in good shape so it couldn't be too old. I think I'll try to google the artist's name and see what I find.

Weird! But great work!

I love the horse. If I can't figure out what it means in two seconds, I'm on to the next thing to think about.
Maybe it means don't drink and ride a horse in Monument Valley.
A very well done but puzzling mural.
Haaa, I like this mural!
We have very similar posts in recent times... :)
I love public art murals with a sense of twang!!! Love this! Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
It's not a bad message :) This one's got us all puzzled Sharon :))
Cool horse! Meaning? ;-)
I feel a little bad for that poor riderless horse...
Now that's fun.
It looks very Mexican to me. Really cool.
Whatever the message, it's an interesting piece....and a nice shot!
I don't get it either but I like it. Especially nice is the texture of the bricks. Come by this week's Monday Mural to see more mural art.
