Town and Country
Way back in November of 2008, I posted some photos from the Town and Country Shopping Center in Phoenix. You can see one of them here. At that time, there was a lot of talk about closing the center so the property could be redeveloped. Well, we all know what happened economically around that time so the center has been spared for a while longer. I've always liked this center and it's rustic look and big trees. I snapped this photo when the sun was aiming just right to make the light look like it was coming from in between the trees.

Hopefully the redevelopment would keep these lovely trees.
Impressive light, you snapped this photo in the right moment.
It would be a shame to lose the big trees. Nice lighting.
I am happy to say...the trees are a favorite of mine and I am so happy the center remains. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
Nice catch of that light, Sharon.
Yeah, you shot this at the right moment... that pocket of sunshine in between the trees is nice.
Now I'm trying to remember just what is in this center. Trader Joe's of course. Is Alpine Ski Keller still there? I loved the old Jutenhoops! I could spend hours in that place. And my favorite dress shop for a few years was Starrett's!
I have many fond memories of that shopping center. Funny I was remembering Juttenhoops the other day.
It sure looks like it has potential. Sometimes serendipity -- and recession -- saves a place from demolition and when the economy returns, the owners realize that what they have can profitably be updated in another manner. I like your idea of cafe dining for this center.
Phew! That was a close one, happy it stayed open and people kept their jobs..nice shot here Sharon, I thought at first the tree was lit for effect.
Glad the shopping center has survived. The trees are beautiful.
