Iceland Poppies

These Iceland Poppies are not only pretty to look at......

...they must also be pretty darn tasty too.

Iceland Poppies seem an odd flower to be growing in the desert but, I'm seeing them in quite a few places lately.

You're right, great to look at and useful too!

They remind me of crepe paper flowers!

Iceland Poppies?! Never heard of these. I agree with Kathy and they are beautiful. Great shots too.

That is a lot of bees on one flower. The flowers look so delicate.

Great photos and I love the convention of bees! PS. I have been out of town, Up North, for a week near the Canadian border without internet or cell phone capability. Very peaceful and serene and I loved it; gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. But I have not been able to visit any of my blogger friends. It'll take awhile to read all of my email messages and to visit your posts to see what I've missed, but it's good to be back!

I've always loved these - lovely colours and great movement as they bob in the breeze!
