My second stop on this trip is Tombstone Arizona, “the town too tough to die”. The population of Tombstone swelled to 14,000 during the profitable mining years between 1877 and 1890 when it produced somewhere between $45 and $85 million in silver bullion. It’s best known to some people as the site of the Gunfight at the OK Corral. Today’s photo features a peek inside one of the many saloons in town and a street scene along the main street. I took this trip during the monsoon season here in Arizona so scattered rain was a common site as were fabulous clouds as you will see in future photos.

Interesting place.
What a wonderful bar. Is all that wood original? I've never been to Tombstone. I think it's time to go. I just finished reading an historical novel about Doc Holliday. It had a lot of fact-based stuff in it and I found it fascinating.
I love that little town. Great looking bar.
Tombstone is a little touristy, but is an interesting place to visit nevertheless.
Glad to see your comment on your sister's Prescott site about the success thus far of your trip to Italy.
I haven't been to Tombstone in years. It looks like it wasn't too crowded the day you were there. Can't wait to see more from here.
Good to hear that you are enjoying your trip.
I think it's time for my margarita now! (bar scene and all) LOL!
Cool shots...can't wait to see those monsoon clouds.
The famous Tombstone! Great.
That second shot made me reach for the sixshooters in my holsters.
Tombstone is a fun place to visit, great bar shot! Julie and I are driving to Tucson, maybe we'll get some Mexican food. Hope you are having a fantastic adventure in Italy.
Looks like a fun place to visit. Great shots.
Looks like a fun place to visit. Great shots.
Enjoy your stay in Florence!
I prefer to remember the Tombstone of 30 years ago... but we went back just for the fun of it...
I'm slow, but I'm finally getting there. I haven't been blogging very much lately, but I recall you saying this was a trip from some time in the past. Now I'm on the right page. Sorry. The rain got me all excited.
