Gift Bearers

This painting by Philip C Curtis inspired another floral artist last year.  In fact, I featured it here.
This interpretation is a little different.  Each little cluster of flowers represents the gifts the men are holding in the painting.  I'm a big fan of Philip C Curtis who was from Arizona and helped found the Phoenix Art Museum.

I should be so clever! Wonderful floral interpretation of the painting.

I wonder if the floral artists each year look at photos from the previous years either to find inspiration or to make sure that their creations are different.

I'd love to see the painting. Gotta check this museum out.

So cool! Isn't it great to see how differently people interpretate the paintings.

Looks really good when you pull it in close Sharon. Last years interpretation was pretty amazing also.

Do they choose the same paintings each year, or vary the selections?

Interesting. I remember seeing that Curtis painting on my first elementary school field trip to the museum.

I can see where this whole process can be quite challenging. They did a great job.

This flower arrangement seems to be more cheerful than the one of last year.

Your museum photos are very nice. I'm guessing you didn't use flash but must have a very fast lens?

I like this one. And, the flower artist last year also did a good job.
