At lunch time on Wednesday, I headed to a quieter part of town and ended up passing the Paradise Valley Town Hall Complex. I saw some art work on the grounds so I pulled in to check it out and I am glad I did. I found this fabulous statue called "Bear Tracks" by Dave McGary. What a gorgeous statue with so many great details right down the the beaded moccasins on his feet.
The back of the cape also had some wonderful details. I'm really glad I found this one!
Tomorrow I'm having lunch with a friend so we'll see what I can find to photograph then.

Our government's treatment, of Native Americans, their culture and their way of life with respect to the bison — for one.
I did a book about it years ago and in the research found some disturbing information about the government encouraging train trips for the express purpose of shooting grazing buffalo on the plains. Killing for the sport of killing and at the same time, as they said in the newspapers, "destroying the Indian's grocery store."
And the great newspapers encouraging the killing of men, women and children - Indians.
Your photography and description of Bear Tracks is a classic example of all we have left — statues and memories — the real Native Americans are living on "reservations" and many under horrible conditions, with schools begging for donations to buy things the children need.
That is the side of Native America we all need to do posts about. And some reservations are rich and now even richer as in addition to oil, they have been promoting gambling and have casinos that rival Las Vegas.
Thank you for the reminder of where we are and were we should be.
