Pampas Grass

Almost every morning on my way to work, I pass this growth of pampas grass.  Since I head east on the way to work, I'm driving into the sun and the grass is always glowing with the early morning sunlight.  It always catches my eye.  So I decided to stop and take a few photos to see if I could catch that glow.

We had some pampas grass in our front yard in Scottsdale, but the landscapers would keep it trimmed so it never had the big plumes that you have photographed so sell.

We finally replaced the pampas grass with other plants because the pampas grass attracted gophers who would sneak into our neighborhood from the church yard across the street from the entrance to our neighborhood.

You did catch it, and by posting it you've tickled us with its beauty.

Great idea to stop and capture their special glow. Makes me think of giant pen plumes.

You definitely have captured the golden glow Sharon. Pampas grass always reminds me of 'feather dusters' for some reason.

These are beautiful. I had them in my yard at one time and they are really spectacular when the sun hits them.

They are really dramatic, Sharon. I don't see them in the northeast.

We have pampas grass, also, but I've not seen any as plush/lush as this and your photos are splendiforous! Wow, what great light!

You caught the sunlight in the plumes quite well.
