A cow skull, an old wagon wheel, rocks covering the ground and a cactus here and there, voila, . . . southwestern landscaping and decor is done. No need for any plastic pink flamingoes.
This photograph screams "Southwest!" The coloring is subtle which really makes the scull stand out and the bricks add more interest bisecting the frame on the diagonal. Makes for a very pleasing and interesting composition!

I love Southwestern style!
Shades of O'Keeffe!
I've never been a fan of displaying dead animals.

I love Old Town! It has been far too long since I walked around there. Need to take a short trip.
That is an interesting skull, looks like bison to me! Nicely composed.
I like it but it's not a match with the architecture. I wonder if it's real?
That is one heck of a photograph! All the elements of a great picture and a wonderful composition!
Re your comment on Ocala: You are so right. I traveled also back in the 70s and as soon as I'd leave home something would break! Never seemed to fail!
Wow does that ever say "South West"!
Yup, this is pretty iconic. Nailing up a skull seems to do the job out there.
Great composition, Sharon! Love the pastel shades.
