Last winter, these two hummingbirds buzzed around me and hovered in front of my face as if to say "it's time to fill the feeder." As soon as I took the feeder inside, they perched themselves in a nearby tree and waited patiently for their nourishment.

While WAITING, animals seem to display more patience than humans. What great friends you have!! But, they obviously know that you treat them well.
Humming birds are so beautiful and fascinating. I remember the sun birds (that was their name) we had in Cairns - tiny little yellow birds, so beautiful. A lovely choice for today. Lucky you being able to watch them feed at your feeder.
Hummingbirds waiting? I can't think of an animal that does less waiting. How unusual.
As I mentioned in my recent posts about hummingbirds, they have to eat much of the day to support the hyper-active metabolism, including a heart rate that is 10 times faster than ours.
This is so cool! Wish I had those cute guys here (instead of the dirty pigeons! LOL!)... Perfect choice, Sharon.
so cute and great job to capture hummingbirds sitting still. great choice for theme day
I can't believe you caught two of them being that still! Great photo!
How fun is that, to have them wait for you to fill the feeder! Great shot of them too.
They are so cute! Nice post for Theme Day.
Such an amazing story...to have hummingbirds await you. Sounds like something out of a fairy tale.
So cute and patient! Pretty smart little birds. looks like they have you trained.
