Today is Thanksgiving in the United States and everyone will be gathering with friends and relatives to celebrate with a fabulous meal while giving thanks for our blessings. Last year on Thanksgiving, I went to the Grand Canyon with my sister Judy (
Prescott Area Daily Photo) and her husband Chet for a wonderful meal at the El Tovar Lodge. You can see the table setting in the above photo.
I remember that day very well because it started to snow as we were driving toward the rim and the fog was so thick you could only see little slices of the canyon. The small photo is an example. I wonder if it will be snowing up there this year.
Happy Thanksgiving to all my American readers! Have a joyful and delicious day.

Sharon, Thanks for the good Thanksgiving wishes. The fog in the second picture looks like the weather outside here right now. I wish that it would just snow and get it over with!! PS. Wonderful to have a blogging sister!!
The El Tovar is a classic, grand old hotel. I hope that the fog lifted last year and the snow remained on the canyon rim. The Grand Canyon with snow is a spectacular sight.
What great photos. I would love to be at the canyon for a holiday. Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving. Have a wonderful day!
That was so much fun. I enjoyed the cold and snow on the rim of the Grand Canyon. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
Beautiful fog pic!
By the way, we also have Sesame Street here (Rua Sésamo) and yes, the 'thing' looks very similar! :-)
