Asian Temple

This church or temple has been under construction in northern Phoenix for many months. When I drove by recently, the construction fence was down, but judging from the blue plastic film on those stainless steel doors, it still hasn't opened. In fact, when I drove around it, I found workers still hard at work in the back.

I was struck by the glint of the afternoon sun on that huge cross.

Asian architecture on what looks like a Catholic church. Strange. But lovely!

The crosses on the Asian church are unexpected! You'll have to do a little "investigative" work ...

this is a great find. I have not seen this new church. once it is open, you should go back and see if there are interesting photo opportunities inside and teach us more about it. very interesting Asian style but so unusual with a cross on top.

WHat a fascinating combination -- the Christian symbol and the old Asian shrine architecture. I definitely want to learn more about this place.

It's a beautiful building and I too am curious about the combination. Are those dragons on each side, coming down the steps?

I'll will have to keep my eye on the place and gather more information.
Jarart, yes those are dragons. I was actually there the day the placed those dragons. I took a few photos, but they were through the construction fence so not very good.
