Today I feature St. Thomas Church on north 24th Street in Phoenix. This church was founded in 1950 as the 12th Catholic parish in Phoenix. It wasn’t until 1960 that this Spanish colonial church was completed. Not yet 50 years old! It’s just a baby by world-wide standards.

It almost has a 30's feel to it
The church has such a vivid Spanish style about it that at first I didn't realise it was taken in US.
The photo deserves being enlarged. Really nice spanish style.
Arizona obviously admires and imports Spanish colonial architecture from south of the border, particularly for places of worship, yet it is conflicted regarding the importation/immigration of people from south of the border.
Sharon, it's not painted or tiles, just small broken pieces of china covering the walls and ceiling of the fountain (I posted today)! :-)
