This area is on the other side of the old packing house. In addition to the tall palms, the area is also shaded by very large eucalyptus trees and a few mesquite trees. The courtyards are shaded and quit.
The small photo is of a door to one of the units guarded by a very relaxed cat.

Re: May 18-24, 2009: The old buildings in Palma Viva & the big house at La Hacienda were designed by HH Green and built in 1929. Green was the architect of the Heard Museum and many residences in Phoenix. In the late 70's the farm was purchased and transformed into 71 condos, 14 of which are original mud adobes. In 1998, the orange grove was removed and 12 condos were built around the original hacienda. I loved your photos. Will start following your PHX blog.
