Kenilworth School

In a city that is dominated by the new and modern, it is unusual to find buildings with such traditional architecture. This is Kenilworth School, an elementary school that is part of the Phoenix Elementary School District. It is located in the Mid-town area of Phoenix just a few blocks from downtown. With the grand stairs and pillars, this building is very much like the schools I went when I was growing up in Illinois.

It's amazing to think that this is an elementary school. in other countries this would be at least a university or even the Houses of Parliament...

WEll those babies are attending a lovely lovely school. How wonderful that your city has such nice schools. Thanks for visiting my blog so often.

PS I was feeling chilly but the sight of your palm trees warmed me right up!

Elementary, that's young kids isn't it? I can't believe this is an elementary school - it looks far too grand! How fantastic for the kids to learn in such a great environment.

If you posted this photo without a title or text, I would have thought it was a courthouse. Such grand pillars!

It's so regal and dignified looking. The kids that attend school there should be really proud!
