Butterflies & Flowers

The spring butterflies are back at the Desert Botanical Garden and I took a quick trip through the pavilion when I was there for a walk last week.  The butterflies were busy enjoying all the flowers.  This white peacock found a pretty pink flower.

The zebra butterfly found an orange flower to enjoy.

And this Gulf Fritillary has it's petticoat showing!

I have a new post on Sharon's Sojourns today.  We are visiting a famous monster!

Aww, poor fritillary! I wonder if he emerged from his pupa awkwardly and his wing didn't dry right. In any case, he's in a good place for a butterfly with a misshapen wing. (Not sure why I'm saying he -- I have no idea what gender that butterfly is.)

Beautiful to see, Sharon! We have a rainy windy damp day so flowers and butterflies are nice to see!
