Waiting in the Rain

It was a very rainy day yesterday as evidenced by these people waiting for the light rail and taking shelter as best they can.  It rained almost all of Monday night and well into Tuesday morning letting up a little around 10:00 AM and then rained on an off all day long.  My drive to work took me through several flooded streets.  It doesn't take much rain to fill up the streets here in Phoenix and when it rains all night, you can expect the morning commute will take a lot longer.

It is the time of the year, rain comes and goes. Better to have it fallen at night...

Quite a modern structure. We've had rain off and on the last day or so.

I hope you weren't one of those people I saw on the news being rescued from their cars!

We had rain for 2 days and it is still cloudy here! That is not the pic we expect to see from Phoenix though!

Your sky looks like ours. Usually we see nothing but blue skies from Phoenix. :)

You quite obviously got more rain than we did. Still, I revived one of my old "lines" yesterday when I asked my wife "doesn't the sun ever shine around here?"

It's interesting that the rain is enough to flood the streets. You'd think the ground would be so dry it would soak right in!

We neer seem to get exactly the right amount of rain, do we? It is either too little or way too much.
