The Spice of Life

There is a saying that variety is the spice of life so today I'm offering a variety of photos.  That's just a fancy way of saying I have another "odd shots" post for you.  Starting. with this display of perfume bottles that drew my attention at a department store.

Speaking of a department store.  I stopped in to Saks to buy a bottle of Molton Brown bath wash (it's the closest place that carries it) and look how they packaged it up for me.  I felt like I had a present to open when I got it home.

I saw this bumper sticker and wondered what it meant so I snapped a photo so I could look it up.  If you're a Harry Potter fan, you probably already know what a "whomping willow" is.  I had to figure that out.

This photo looks a lot like I took a walk in the woods but, actually it's just up the street from me on the edge of the Biltmore Golf Course.  Looking at this photo, it's hard to believe that behind me is a very busy street and beyond the trees to the right are the rolling hills of the golf course.

Cell phone relay transmitters are becoming such a ubiquitous site that we really don't notice them any longer.  I saw these on the building next door to where I work.  When I was a kid, rooftops were full of smoke stacks.  Now they are full of cell phone transmitters.

We have recently a Saks Fith Avenue store here too in Amsterdam, Saks Off 5th, with only discounted items. I love to browse around there and watch all the glittering clothes. I am not familiar with Harry Potter either, but it looks funny.

Gosh how weird Sharon I was just saying to P yesterday how the telephone transmitters, although still there in a big way, are almost invisible to us now! Super series of random images, Aimee would looove the car number plate ☺

Tell us more about Molton Brown Bath Wash... Why is it so special?
Where did you first find it?
Should I get a bottle for myself?
Do you use it in the shower? Or only the bath?

Oh, I got the whomping willow reference instantly, but I've read the books and have seen all the movies.

Fun random photos. It's funny how a photo can look like a great place to walk or visit but in reality there is busy road behind you and a golf course in front. It's the kind of image that makes me think the beach is just a few yards away. I like those colourful perfume bottles, a very nice lineup.

Roseann, I first came across Molton Brown products around 10 or 12 years ago on a trip to London. They have to have the most interesting scents available in their products that I have ever come across. I use the body wash in the shower. I don't use it every day because it's a bit expensive. But, my philosophy is; I'm worth it. However, I do use the hand soap every day! I've seen their products used in quite a few hotels and I noticed it was the hand soap was used in the restrooms at Buckingham Palace. If it's good enough for the Queen, it's good enough for me.

maybe I should've taken the nomer 'whomping willow' instead of this one. LOL But I just wanted to combine the fact that I have silver hair and I love willow trees... ;) Have a great weekend!

Well, I guess cell phone transmitters are CLEANER than smokestacks, if not more aesthetically pleasing. I like the "wilderness" shot!

A fine collection of spare parts. Cell phone towers are indeed becoming ubiquitous. I can't yet un-see them.

Thank you for your many visits while I was MIA in Norway, etc.
