Swimming By


This sculpture is called II Donnone and it was created by Paolo Soleri back in 1975.  It sits right in front of the parking area of the Phoenix Art Museum and faces the front of the museum.  So this lady is swimming by me every time I go the the museum.

I ran it through Google translate (which you maybe already did). Apparently Il Donnone is Italian for "The Big Woman."
