Phoenix Financial Center

I haven't posted photos of the Phoenix Financial Center in ages so I thought I'd visit it again.  I told the story of this office complex here.
When it comes to Phoenix architecture, this building stands out.  It is a familiar sight to everyone who lives here.  When the building was originally designed back in the early 60's, there was supposed to be two towers like this facing each other.  They would have stood like to giant parenthesis without any words between them.

It is a very impressive and one-of-a-kind building. PS. Your comment on my blog today puzzled me . . .

It reminds me of our city hall and really would if there had been 2 towers. It looks fabulous against that blue sky!

The curvature reminds me of one of the buildings here, though that one winds up having an oval shape.

I just went back and looked at your older posts about this building -- it really IS an interesting structure, and thanks for providing the info about the architect!
