Argentinian Giant

I thought I had missed out on the blooms on the Argentinian Giant cactus this year but I finally caught one this last Sunday at the garden.

This cactus has the most spectacular blooms that are always the size of a large dinner plate.

This one was in perfect condition and was beautifully shaped.  I'm so glad I got to see it and photograph it.

Wonderful, the cactus and the photos !

Great shots! I guess "giant" refers to the size of the flowers, as opposed to the cactus itself?

So glad you didn't miss out either, Sharon as these are fabulous shots of it!

I don't think a professional could photograph this bloom any better. But what's an Argentinian cactus doing in Phoenix? It was probably brought up your way on the back of a horse ridden by an Argentinian cowboy! :)

Look at that! You always do a great job photographing flowers and plants.

I haven't been visiting much lately. Life gets complicated some times.
