One Way to See the Waterfront

While I was at the Scottsdale Waterfront last weekend gathering some photos, I ran into this group exploring the waterfront trails on Segways.  I'm guessing they were from the Scottsdale Segway Tours company.  Here is the link.  You might even enjoy the video they have on that link.

Tricky to use a camera while on the Segway, they could use Go-pro I guess.

I don't really get Segways. I'd rather walk!

It's the new walking tours.

Some people would do almost anything to avoid walking...

It looks like a fun way to see a city if you've only got a few hours.

I would vastly prefer to walk instead of one of those.

I've never tried them though there's lots around. I think I prefer to walk too...

I'm sorry, but I hate those things. We have legs for a reason, use them! They take up space on the sidewalk for real walkers and sometimes the people on them don't pay attention to their surroundings.

The guy leading them looks like he could use a walk - we all need to work on our fitness these days.

I like these but I'm not sure they're too good on the sidewalks...and these particular ones appear to have a slightly different design than the earlier ones. I like what Hal said, but I'm not sure they're not paying attention to their surroundings. I think it's more they're scared to death and are trying not to run into the nearest tree!

Always wanted to use these things.

Seems a lazy way to tour something to me.

That is kind of fun to do, but, frankly, I prefer walking. I once tried a Segway in St. Pete, and I often see Segway tours in Naples.
