The New Movie Theatre

I finally made it to see the new "Star Wars" movie and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  I went to the brand new Camelview Theatre to see it.  This is the one that replaces the old mid-century modern place I told you about back in December.  It certainly is a state-of-the-art facility with a huge snack counter seen here, a dessert bar (you can see the corner of it to the right) and a bar (those stripes in the foreground).

I liked the very tall scrolling movie posters on either side of the theatre lobby.  There are some posters for current and upcoming movies and some posters from classics mixed in.  It was fun to watch.

I often go to the movies at the Sony Center on Potsdamer Platz. I love it that you can drink beer and/or wine at the movies. But a desert bar, sounds pretty good too!

An impressive movie palace. We haven't been to a movie in years. Not sure why. Busy doing other things, I guess.

Wow! Right up my street. We are so busy now trying to see as many films as we can before Academy Awards. This theatre looks wonderful!

Way cool. Absolutely love it! They're building a new cinema in V., an underground one. I can't wait to see it but it might still be a few years!

I saw it first on the opening weekend and loved it. Mind you, the experience of endless commercials before hand had me thinking of murder most foul, but the marketing executive who first dreamed up that idea of ads in theatres probably met a bad end years ago already!

We haven't been to a movie theatre in a long time, either. I'm always amazed at how they've grown from the time I used to pay 13 cents for my ticket!

It does look fancy! Our old movie theatre underwent a transformation lately when they added a bar and reclining seats. The only problem is, the seats are so comfortable that you almost want to fall asleep!

It certainly is state of the art theatre and can accommodate several movies and many patrons at the same time. Jim and I avoid them like the plague because of the volume and the very reason that so many people like them. . .too modern and too large. We prefer the smaller, vintage-style theatres.

Oh wow, so different from the 'alternate' movie house it was before Sharon, looks good and I guess more movies, more choices!

Nice, but I see they only show a very few independent films now.
