Enough Already

I know I said I wasn't going to complain but hey, five days of rain is starting to get to me.  As my dad would say, this weather is for the birds!  I found quite a few of them yesterday morning perched atop this billboard but, it's hard to say if they were enjoying the rain or not.

Our streets have been looking like this all week long and I've been bundled up against the cold and damp.  It was funny, when I was taking this photo from a parking garage, a truck rolled into view right after I snapped the above shot with the lady in the bikini doffing her top.  It just looked so out of place on a day like this that I had to snap another shot.

What do you think?  Not appropriate for the day's weather at all.

I'm kind of hoping the rain will move on now and I'm sure there are quite a few winter visitors here who are wishing exactly the same thing.  There are number of outdoor events scheduled in downtown Phoenix for this weekend so with some luck we will get sunshine so they can be fully enjoyed.

The temps are back up into the positive here and the snow is melting today. So I can empathize with you on the wet, chilly conditions. The bikini lady is also definitely out of place. She needs to get back to Florida! ;-)

I think this looks wonderful Sharon, we had a bit of thunder earlier but no rain and it's still 39C. Yes please, let's swap :) The girl in the bikini should be here in Perth :)

The weather seems to be goofy everywhere, except here in sunny Mazatlán. Love the birds waiting out the rain.

NO kidding! I thought I was leaving rainy East Texas for the dryness of the desert! Dadgummit, wrong again!

The birds must be all gathered up there griping among themselves and wondering when the rain will end.

You too huh? We are OK in London not too much rain, but in the north it just doesn't stop. And more is forecast

That sure isn't what I expect to see in Phoenix, Sharon!

First of all, this weather isn't typical of Phoenix, right? So you know it's just a passing fad. :) Secondly, you've portrayed very well the essence of the saying that too much of a good thing can end up a bad thing!

Hope you're having a great day!

Well, you do need it!

We need the moisture. Much, much more of it. What we (I) don't need is high temperatures in the 30's!

Five days or rain in PHX? You must have has some significant local flooding. But if it fills the canals and the cisters you can't complain too much.

We also got a few rainy days all in a row...

But, doesn't this five-day patch of rainy weather remind you that most of the time the weather is clear and dry? Maybe a wee bit hot in the summer, but don't you have good weather most of the time?
