Citrus Season

One house near by me had the trees in the yard decorated with colorful bulbs.  But, those same trees had their own natural bulbs.  Big, juicy oranges!

They were fully loaded with the delicious fruit.

The decoration is striking, elegant and festive, but I prefer the natural bulbs.

It's citrus season here, too, and yards are full of colorful fruit hanging from branches. Pretty soon we'll see boxes of grapefruit by the side of the road with signs that say, "Help yourself, they're free!"

It is relatively cold here, but we have our 'season' here too! I will post something alike in the next days...

At the home we occupied for years in central Phoenix there was a hedge of ornamental orange trees separating us from our neighbors. When the oranges arrived every year there were hundreds of them. By the way, they're too sour to eat but they make marvelous marmalade.
