Medlock Place & North Encanto

Two more Historic Neighborhoods today.  The first is Medlock Place which dates back to 1926 in an area that was dominated by fruit orchards, fields and farm houses.  This area has lots of tall trees and large sweeping yards.

The second neighborhood is North Encanto, an area that contains a large concentration of Transitional/Early Ranch Style homes.  It dates back to 1939 and was laid out in a circular pattern which was a big departure from the grid layout that Phoenix was built on.

The first one is really nice !

I actually like the aqua highlights on the Medlock house. I've been looking on line at homes for sale in Phoenix and the large yards are definitely a thing of the past!

The first house has a much more cheerful appearance than the second one but it is probably because it very grey outside here today.

They both look like great areas. I love the shadows in that first shot and the little ranch house in the second one seems cozy. I'd live there!

I would have no problem living in either area or either house! Beautiful photos of these very attractive homes!

I've always liked ranch style houses but it the first one that grabs my attention here, Sharon!

I'll pick any of these, with a slight preference for the first one...

That first house made me think of Hansel and Gretel.

Love the rooflines on the house of the top photo. You are finding many outstanding houses with this neighborhood theme.

That top one could be in an English village, but for the palm tree.

Love the first one Sharon, very sweet windows up top.

Love the top shot where the palm trees frame the house.

That Medlock house has loads of charm, but the layout you describe in North Encanto might have some appeal, too. I would have to see it.
