Poppies in the garden

Everywhere I look, poppies are showing up in gardens.  Not public gardens but, private gardens.  20 years ago, I never saw these flowers in gardens but, the last few years they are everywhere.  I saw these when I was walking around in Scottsdale last Sunday.  They really are a "happy" flower.  they make you smile.

They are a happy bloom Sharon, that vibrant red is so cheery.. I think people have realised that they're nice and easy to grow :)

Poppies do pop up and command attention! Incidentally, I am now in the 5th day of a miserable bout of Verdigo so my posting, visiting, and commenting are proving difficult, but I will eventually be back in full swing again. Have a good week-end!

I see them everywhere! Everywhere except in my yard where they refuse to grow. The ones around here are the orange ones and they are a happy flower.

In Scottsdale. How long will you be able to keep them? (Spoken as a climate pessimist.)

These are really pretty. My first house was bought in 1974 in a Boston suburb and I inherited several nice poppy plants in the garden, much like these. When I moved to Hartford, the new yard wasn't suited to poppies (less sun), so I left them behind.
