Visitor in green

I was in Scottsdale yesterday and I stopped to take a photo when this little fellow flew right in front of me and started examining these aloe blooms.  He wasn't more than 3 feet away which kind of surprised me.  I had to be quick to get this one shot and then he was off to the other side of the street.

Can't think of many more surprises that could be better than this visit. Great shot! Your finger is quick on the trigger!

You are quick! I've had them buzz my head while I was putting the feeder up.

That is a great shot! I have had them fly very close to me too, especially if I'm wearing red or pink. I love how you can see his little feet hanging there!

And he's keeping an eye on you out of the corner of his eye.

Good lens, good shutter speed. Someone said that luck favors the prepared.

What's become of Dave and Julie?
