Fire Damage

It's amazing the photos you find when you review your photo files.  I took this photo back in February and then promptly forgot all about it.  This is a little corner shopping center that was located just a few blocks from my old house.  I don't think I ever went in any of the stores but I certainly passed it every day.  I happened to be in that neighborhood on this day in February when I spotted all this damage.  I stopped to take a few pictures and spoke some people there and learned that it burned down the night before I was there.  That's why there is still water on the ground.  A day or two later, I heard a story on the radio about the city losing one of it's very few remaining video stores in this center.  I always wondered if that store had any business and according to the radio story, it had quite a lot of business.

Hopefully they are able to set up again elsewhere.

Wow! That is total destruction. :(
Hope it wasn't arson or anything like that.

Oh no! Not much to do if the fire takes hold quickly Sharon. Was it considered a suspicious fire I wonder..

Never a good thing. Now I wonder what will go in on the lot once they get this all cleaned up. Maybe a new and improved video store. Not many of those around anymore.

A disaster for the owners and staff no doubt. Has any remedial work started?
