Blooming Yucca

The Yucca plants are all blooming right now crowning each plant with a chandelier of white flowers.

If you look a the blooms up close you can see that they are made up of hundreds of little bell shaped blooms hanging down just like a...well...a chandelier.

Yucca are fascinating plants to me. My first house was in a Boston suburb and we inherited a yucca. I was shocked when it sent a tall flowering stalk shooting toward the sky.

We used to have a yucca in my front yard when I was a kid. I remember these flowers well!
