First Mesa

Last Friday, I arrived a bit early for the event I attended at the Phoenician Resort so I had some time to wander around and enjoy the resort amenities and the fabulous art.  This particular painting spoke to my soul.  It's called "First Mesa" by renowned Native American artist Dan Namingha.  It's a large oil painting measuring 60 X 80 and it hangs near other large paintings and sculptures all on display from the Glenn Green Galleries of Tesuque New Mexico.  I do love Namingha's work.  He is a true artistic master.

It's beautiful, as I did not know this artist, I found his website and was able to admire his artwork.

I'm mad at myself because I didn't recognise this as a Namingha when I should have! This one is fantastic!

A wonderful artist and the gallery in Tesuque is wonderful! I yearn for another winter there, but it is not to be this season.
