Cabin in the city

Many times I picture large grand homes that I find scattered throughout the city but, this time I'm picturing a small home that looks very much like a mountain cabin.  It sits by itself away from the other homes in the north Phoenix neighborhood where I found it.  I wonder if this house was once the homestead or farmhouse long before the city expanded into this area.  It does have a peaceful, mountain look to it surrounded by the trees and that large lawn.

What a great little house! Seems like that big lawn might be tough to maintain in an arid climate, though.

It must be a nice place to live.

They must have flood irrigation to water this munch lawn and the deep watering of the trees.

I'm sure this house has a story, if only it could talk. Loved you photo with Pres. Clinton! What a fantastic opportunity! Go Duval!

I love the stonework. A small house definitely has its charms.

This is much closer to the style and size of house that I would enjoy. Looks like a little "kingdom" all by itself.

isn't it nice that a small cottage like that still stands amidst the big houses?
