Wilting.....in the heat

Actually I took this photo a while ago but, I thought it depicted our wilting heat perfectly.  Yesterday's high temperature was 116 degrees (47 c).  It was a record temperature for the day.  I think I need to do a little rain dance to see if we can't get it to cool off a little.  Have a great weekend everyone and stay cool!

That's about the way I felt yesterday after dealing with an arbor that had collapsed overnight due to the weight of a morning glory vine and a nudge from heavy winds. It was under a hundred but the humidity was hovering around the same mark!

Exactly how I would feel if it were 116 here.

Wow - I can't even imagine what that temp must feel like!

That's about sixteen or seventeen degrees celsius than what we've seen thus far this summer.

I was walking from the ball park when it was only 114. Didn't feel real bad.

Oh my Sharon.. that IS hot! As you know it does get steaming in a Perth summer also and we have had a few 45C's.. can't remember a 47C. Up North and inland maybe but not Perth.. thank goodness! Keep cool my friend!

I think more than "a little rain dance" is in order here!

That temperature is not fun. And when people say, "Yeah, but it's dry heat," I used to laugh.

It's no wonder I remember the Gammage name. He was president of ASU when we moved back to Phoenix in 1959 which was when he died. It's amazing how many things I can't remember!

I really enjoyed your latest posts, Sharon. Sorry I've not been commenting lately but a tendinitis (shoulder + elbow) is forcing me not to use the computer as much as possible. Stay cool, 47ÂșC is way too much!!!
