Lucky shot....


There have been times when I've patiently waited to take a shot of a hummingbird at work and still never had any luck with the shot.  For this one, I just saw him out of the corner of my eye and swung around and took the shot never imaging that it would be any good.  Not too bad for a shot on the run.

Luck maybe. The skill comes in when you have your camera's settings ready to go. That includes having the lens cap off.

Don't you just love when that happens, nice one Sharon, gorgeous capture.
p.s. you should definitely put a birdbath in the garden, honestly you will get so much pleasure watching the birds enjoy it, especially on hot days.
