Yummy Spring Color!

Another photo from the Japanese Friendship Garden.  I saw a large patch of Iris in bloom and their bright colors made such a beautiful contrast against the green surrounding them.  We in Arizona need to enjoy these lovely flowers now before the summer heat puts them back into hibernation.

What a great pic! Love Iris!
So nice that you say hibernation to summertime. By is this means winter!
Greatings from Austria :-)

We have a friend who named her daughter Iris. Your photo shows a good reason why that is a good name.

I hadn't even thought about Irises yet so what a treat it is to see this, Sharon!

Fab macro Sharon, the inner section of flowers and plants has always fascinated me by it's complexity. I relate to the 'summer heat' hibernation.. just for interest what would be your highest temp in summer?

I want an article of clothing in this colour. Maybe a big flowing scarf. It is beautiful

Beautiful iris and photo of it. Ours are just beginning to bloom, there's a very pale mauve one just in front of my office!
