Flowering Trees

In addition to the aloe blooming right now, we have the flowering pear trees also blooming like crazy.

They really are beautiful.  I wish their blooms would last longer than they do.  By the end of February they will be all gone.

Beautiful, subtle colours. Such a shame they don't last much longer.

I agree about the shortness of the blooming season for these trees, but there will be other blooming trees that follow them. Like the jacoranda.

What's the old adage? It's a sight for sore eyes!! Nice to see some spring like blooms! Our entire nation has been too cold and unpleasant this winter.

They are so nice and remind me of our dogwood trees which will be blooming fairly soon. The building in the background reminds me of an elementary school.

The trees in bloom look marvelous, especially in that second shot. You caught it nicely with the tree line.

Gasp, they are so beautiful and ethereal - like little clouds! Spring is still ages away for us:)

These are really lovely. Do they produce pears?

I guess that is what makes the spring blossoms so special!

They look lovely indeed. It'll be awhile before we see them like that here.

Flowering pear trees! Beautiful! The streets of German Village in Columbus are lined with Bartlett pear trees that burst into bloom in early April. The sight always lifted my spirits! Harbingers of spring.
