Rock Climbing

I forgot about these photos I took a week ago.  I took a drive to Papago Park and found park very busy with people picnicking, fishing, hiking and rock climbing.  These two made it to the summit of one of the Papago Buttes.

I took this shot to give you a better perspective of just how high up they are.  If you look closely, you can see those two standing up on the top of the butte.

Looks like a good old climb to the top, I imagine the views are well worth the hike up though!

They look like they just snook in the country.

I wonder how you get on top of that hill, I see no path.

You could ALMOST be in OZ from that photo! If that's the case you'll save a fortune on airfares ...

It looks absolutely beautiful and I wouldn't mind being there, it's freezing here! Happy 2014 and hope it's off to a lovely start!

There was a time when I would climb up that butte. You got a good telephoto shot of the two climbers.

Wow, the second shot really gives an idea of the climb they had. He looks like he has a cell phone, probably telling someone he made it.

I used to love Papago Park! That's where I learned to dive - in the pool. Great colors in these shots - so warm and inviting!

They should have a nice view from up there!

That is a good climb for them, Sharon , and they look young enough that it would be no problem!

That butte looks very inviting to the rock climber in me. Beautiful shots, Sharon!
