Chilis

I visited a local nursery Friday afternoon and discovered a lot more than just plants.  They had antiques and ceramics and these chili ristras hanging from a tree.  I'll share a few more photos from there over he next few days.

At first my eyes were tricked into believing they were growing in the tree. Silly me. :)

I LOVE ristras. Had one for years hanging in my kitchen but eventually discarded because they became faded. . .and so dusty!! Great photo, such vibrant colours.

Great to look at, but too hot for my mild palate.

Wow, wonderful red color!
These chiles are very large, aren't they?

These chili strings ("ristas," you tell me) are wonderfully colorful. They aren't available and would look weird in Connecticut and Florida, but they are perfect for Phoenix.

I think it's that time of the year -- time to dry chiles! Great shot, Sharon.
