Up in the air

I'm winging my way back to Phoenix today after a long weekend in California so I thought I'd feature my airplane coming in for a landing.  Well, it's not my exact airplane but, I bet it's one just like this.  I took this shot last week when I was having dinner in downtown Tempe.  The planes coming in from the east fly right overhead, not quite this close though.  I did extend the telephoto to get this shot.

On Sharon's Sojourns today I'm showing a view of the St. Louis Arch when a fog rolls in.

This is wonderful...and the light is perfect. Our first apartment was in Tempe - a tiny little place not too far from the university.

You would have been getting a little nervous if the plane was this low hey Sharon :)

If you had this shot of your own plane, Sharon, I would be very worried. Welcome home!

I drove by our airport and there were all kinds of people sitting around along the roadway on lawn chairs etc, watching the planes coming and going and they are about this low when they go over the road! Scary stuff, I say.

The planes coming in and going out...this is still a mystery to me...a man's invention to allow us to fly above! Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

Great light and an unusual angel to SEE a plane from.
I like it a lot.
