Rusty Horses

The Cave Creek and Carefree towns both have numerous art galleries to visit.  When I saw this beauty, I had to pull over to get a picture.

In fact, there were quite a few rusty horses running along side the road but, these weren't quite as striking as the one pictured at top.  He looks like he has fire in his eyes.

The artist did a great job of capturing the action in his work.

That's the look that tells you to stay clear or you're liable to get a hoof in your behind! I like all of these...the sculpture captured well the energy and vitality of these splendid creatures!

The clear blue sky is a perfect background for the top photo. Wonderful sculpture!

They must make these so that they will intentionally turn rusty, as it is relatively easy to prevent rust in the dry climate of Arizona.

Very pretty! I wouldn't mind having a rusty horse in my yard.

These are great! They probably become more rustic with the years.

So much fun to look at. They match so well Arizona.

The artist has captured the essence of a horse! They look marvelous along the side of the road too.

I do love rust but it's not something you see that much of in Arizona!

You are right, Sharon. That horse has eyes that command attention.

Yes, that was the Doge's Palace where I had my "accident." The Bridge of Sighs was either just before or just after. I can't remember which.

The close up is fantastic!

Regarding your comments:
1- I'm sure you will love Namibia. Africa is so special! Please go. :-)
2- Talking about scaffoldind, that's how I found the Hungarian Parliament... but worse than that was the Golden Rock in Myanmar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyaiktiyo_Pagoda). I travelled the whole day and climbed for several hours just to find it covered! Can you imagine my frustration? Well, at least, I keep many memories of the adventure to get there. :-)

I've always loved rust - but on this horse it's magnificent!! I can feel the movement even in a still photo of an inanimate object!
