Lone Tree

I love photographing this little tree at Steele Indian School Park.  It sits at the base of a large mound so you can shoot low and it looks like it's there all alone.  I took a photo of it back in February and I thought I'd posted that shot on this site but, I can't seem to find it on the blog.

So, here's how it looked earlier this year just as it started to bud.  The clouds in this shot are especially nice.

I have driven past Steele Indian School Park countless times, but have never gone in. Thanks for showing it.

What a difference! Both pictures are pretty. This just shows that Phoenix does have changing seasons.

Two great looking looking shots of the same subject! Love the sky in your first photo.

My first take was that it was on a golf course.

I love how you captured it in two different seasons and as if it was all alone in the park.

Amazing how a tree and its surroundings can look so different depending on the season. Even though it's starting to bud, it looks so alone in that bottom shot and perhaps even threatened by the gathering clouds! :)

Funny story about your plane trip. Bowled me over!

Such a difference, wouldn't recognize it as the same tree.

Lone Trees make always good photos, well done Sharon.

There used to be a community known as Lone Tree somewhere up where I grew up in North Dakota. But I can't find it anymore. Guess the tree must have blown down.

Nice one, Sharon. You could follow it like Steffe's old tree.

Thank you for sharing this contrast in seasons....the sky in February is amazing...you were having "weather"! Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

I like the contrast. Maybe you can follow this young tree over time the way that Steffe follows That Old Tree.

A perfect spot for a read and a cup of tea.

I agree with Karl, there's something about a lone tree that is very appealing, even romantic in a sort of way n'est pas? Lovely images both Sharon.

Love this kind of before and after contrasts.
