Theme Day: The Beauty of Decay

I'd say this old car is decaying rather nicely!

Today is theme day and City Daily Photo Bloggers are posting photos that represent the Beauty of Decay.  If you would like to see how some others have expressed this subject, click here.

Fantastic! Old cars like this one should be in museums.

This covers the topic nicely. Fine choice.

Oh, what a shame! Rust on a car is a real challenge.

HHHMMMmmm... wonder if that numberplate is a symbolic message to any would-be car restorer?!

Quite right.

the flat tire adds the most eloquent punctuation to this excellent entry for theme day.

Superb, Sharon! It's almost as if it's decaying right in front of you! I wonder if someone plans to restore this old beauty?

Now how did a real London cab make its way there only to be decaying???? Poor thing, I'd love to restore it and drive it!

I saw one in Versailles last week and have scheduled it for Tuesday. It's pink!!!

This one is well on it's way to decaying away! This is a good take on the theme.

I love these old cars, so much beauty - this one deserves a bit of TLC but it still has a certain grace:)

That certainly does look like a misplaced London Taxi. If the registration is genuine...looks to be a 1966 London Taxi built in Coventry. I wonder? Super shot. Cheers from Coventry, England :).

A little work and it could be on the road again. ;-))

You’ve made a great Theme Day post. I'm glad you picked this to share with us. I join the others in wondering how a London black cab ended up in Phoenix, Arizona.

Oh drat! That looks like one of those wonderful old British black cabs.

Oh dear, nobody's going anywhere in that old beauty.

A London taxi cab from about 1984 judging by the registration plate. Like Ciel I wonder how it got there. There's a story there I'm sure.

Oh well spotted Sharon, such a shame these old cars look marvelous when they're looked after. This one looks like it's on its way to the 'old car graveyard' :)
