Hovering

Here is another photo from Sunday's early morning outing at the garden.  This is another one of the beautiful night blooming cactus flowers this time being visited by a honey bee collecting some pollen.  These flowers are so gorgeous it's a pity they don't last through the day after they've bloomed.

Such a paradise for a honey bee and quite a view for photographers.

It's always fun to catch a bee or a butterfly on the flowers.

Live fast, die young. Too bad they don't last longer!

Okay, Sharon, I'm running out of superlatives! But this is another shot bordering on perfection - just the flower which is so well exposed that one can see the strictures in the petals! But the bee is the crown in this jewel! So well done!

I love the subtle variation in the flower's colors, from white to lilac to purple. And the fringe around the yellow center - gorgeous close-up!
