Poppies

On my way to lunch a few days ago, I spotted a big patch of poppies in front of a house in one of our historic neighborhoods.  I decided they might make a cheery sort of photo.

I put my camera near the ground and shot up skyward catching these yellow beauties from the underside.  I think I like them this way.

The second picture is really wonderful and says it all!

I like them like that too. They make a sunny picture. Still nothing blooming here.

Yes, the 2nd picture gives them a deeper color and you've also got that sunburst which gives the photo so much sparkle. Nice, artsy shot!

Re your comment on Ocala: That boy was an idiot. He was going from side to side - I think he was trying to dunk the girls! He may have been their brother! :)

Two outstanding photos of some nice flowers, Sharon. I like the backlighting in the top photo and the sun effects in the second one. Two winners!

Oh wow, beautiful Sharon..poppies are such uplifting flowers, I'm not sure if I've seen yellow ones before. Seriously I really couldn't choose, they are both gorgeous images, the yellow and green against the blue sky is stunning.
