Big pile of rocks

How would you like this big pile of rocks in your backyard?  This is a house located on the west side of Fountain Hills in an area of rocky terrain.  All of the houses in this area have big rocks like this surrounding the homes.

There is also a very nice view from this area.  This is looking southeast.

What a setting! Love the Saguaro and the house but just the thought of an earthquake... :-)

As long as none of the rocks decide to move... :-)

Wouldn't want to experience a landslide, but that's unlikely in such a place. It certainly has a stark kind of beauty. And the view is magnificent!

What an amazing view!

On the plus side, you don't have to mow the grass. On the minus side, those rocks are going to radiate heat in the summer. But it does look nice.

I love this look. You might find some rattlesnakes living in your back yard.

Hi again, Sharon. Re your question on Ocala: No, no opera. It's more like a rerun of The Three Stooges! But the pizza is pretty good. :-)

It took me awhile to get used to the desert when I moved to Arizona in 1972. But now I love it.

It really is a beautiful part of town.

Sharon, I can't tell you how long I have sat here staring at this comment block trying to think of something nice to say about having that pile of rocks behind one's house.

Personally I love them, it would be so much easier than trying to keep a lawn alive in summer! These shots are exactly how I imagined Arizona to be Sharon.
