Two more Whispers

Here are two more sculptures from the Whispers of a New World Exhibit going on at the Desert Botanical Garden.  The top one makes me think of chili peppers.

This one makes me think of a scorpion.

This exhibit will be at the garden until May of next year.  That gives you plenty of time to make your way to the garden to check out these other-worldly sculptures.

You really make such good use of the photo possibilities at the Desert Botanical Garden.

The first photo looks like two chilis and an ear of corn.

You know, every year I say I am going to go to the Garden at Christmastime and I never do. It's on my list AGAIN!

The first picture reminds me of drying umbrellas, probably due to all the rain we have had in the UK this summer!

Such unusual sculptures. It's strangely organic looking.

I love the colors and how organic these sculptures are.

At first I thought these are umbrellas :-)
Beautiful shots, Sharon!

I like them - wish I was there to tour the garden in person!

I love the thought of a polka-dotted chili pepper!

Strange stuff growing here! I go along with the chili peppers thing, but the thing in the bottom photo reminds me of those big horns they blow in the Alps...you know, like in Sound of Music! :-)

What fun to look at these pieces and put your own ideas into them.

Maybe if Tracy and I both put that trip at Christmastime on our list, we'll finally make it. I agree with your interpretations of both pieces of art. Especially the scorpion. I wish we had ran into you downtown on Saturday! What fun that would have been.

Sorry, Sharon. These aren't for me.
