The View to the North

Believe it or not, I'm still standing within the city limits.  On the northernmost edge of Phoenix and looking north into the desert.  Desert and mountains, it makes for a nice view.

It looks like the nation's 5th or 6th largest city (whatever Phoenix is) has room to grow.

Or room to leave the desert alone and preserve part of it.

It is indeed a "nice view" and I love the varied blues of the sky with the layer of whispy clouds.

A fine panorama, Sharon. I wonder if the city limits have been moved further north over the years. I remember hiking the hills north of Phoenix as a kid. Looking for gila monsters!

The lighting in this shot is wonderful. Must have been a setting sun.
