Above it all


When I visited the village of San Gimignano in Italy, I got to see my first Antony Gormley "Iron Man" statue.  I've seen many of them on various blogs but never saw one in person.  This one was located on top of one of the towers of San Gimignano but, there were several at ground level too.

That's quite a photograph! I'm sure these must have some special significance but I've not heard of them before.

Fantastic angle you've taken on this one Sharon, looks so impressive. I always find it fascinating to see the most unlikely places you'd find plants growing.

And I can understand people`s fascination of the art.
