A sign for weary travelers

This is the sign that stands in front of the motel I featured yesterday.  A welcoming sign to lure in the traveler who needs a good nights rest.  I can tell that someone has been maintaining this property.  You can see in the lower right of the sign where graffiti has been covered up.

This is getting interesting. The mural looks nice and fresh for a building that is empty.

I'm glad that someone is maintaining the property. I think graffiti gets my blood boiling quicker than most things.

People must be living in there to care so much!

That is a very nice sign and a good sign that the place might survive even in today's economy.

Our new site is up and you can check out all out blogs by clicking on their names on the top menu. Welcome!

Hi Sharon! Thanks for your comment. If you're ready to make a change, I'd highly recommend Weebly.

I've been looking to make a change for some time. I've looked at a lot of blogging platforms, including Wordpress, but they either involved too much of a learning curve or were expensive.

We've got a regular website, L & L Photography/Digital, but it is very difficult and time-consuming to make changes on it. And adding blogs would be impossible.

Then, by accident, I ran into Weebly. Funny name, but their site process really works. It's mostly all drag and drop and it's very easy. I just did another small slide show in about 20 minutes.

I like the idea I can showcase a lot of photos in different ways - you can do slideshows, galleries, videos, etc., and I can also include my blogs which are easy to get to and comment on.

I'm still learning all the ins-and-outs but so far I'm delighted with the ease and speed. And the people running the place are fantastic. They had a big problem yesterday - got hit with a massive "Denial of Service" attack. These happen all the time but this was a biggie. Took them awhile to deal with it. I got 4 emails from them explaining what was going on and what they were doing to fix it! You won't get that from Blogger. In fact, I've never been able to figure out how to contact anyone at Blogger and now that Google has bought Blogger I like it even less.

Just go to Weebly.com. What I've done so far is free. Check it out and see what you think. You can set up a website and get everything ready and if you like it, fine; if not, hit "delete."

Best wishes! And yes, it certainly seems like we have a lot in common. Wedding photography was extremely stressful.

I truly appreciate someone who maintains older districts and covering up graffiti. I am all for renew, refurbish and renovate. I see too many urban areas falling in deterioration because folks wouldn't maintain the area.

The real live cacti in front of the mural is an interesting touch!

I really like the prickly pear in front. Kind of gives a 3-D look.

Lovely, with the cacti and all.
